Oh. my. god! This movie was, IMO, the best movie of 2020 so far! It had everyone in the theatre %100 engaged throughout and there were several moments where you could hear audible gasps from the movie goers lol
This film has everything and didn’t leave us wanting, like many other films this year have.
Suspense, action, emotion, a few laughs, and plot twists!
My only regret is that this film isn’t available to stream yet!
One of the few films I would actually pay to go see again! I just love making of the movie and way it was made

This movie is refreshing when horror movie have lost there spark. It keep you guest until the end who the villain is.Emma stone was killed at the first , it would have been more interesting if she lived longer. They should make another one. It is almost like mocking Jane series

This is a quite confusing movie to be quite honest and I can probably say not a very interesting plot it has, although the acting and the visuals are something to praise in this film if not the actual story. The direction of this movie is not very thrilling and eye-catching as it could have been, most of the film is based on crystal finding people and killing them which gets boring after a while. I wouldn't say it's a much watch but it will be fair to give it a try for once.

Hunt was controversial before it was released — before, in fact, its release was delayed — and its marketing has aggressively played up the controversy, proclaiming that with this movie, “everyone is fair game.” It’s a movie about rich liberals who hunt working-class conservatives for sport, kind of. It’s about red versus blue, left versus right, elite versus salt of the earth. In this world, there are two kinds of people: rich snooty hypocritical globalist snowflakes who live in fancy houses; and gun-obsessed, racist hicks from places ranging from Staten Island to Georgia. And here’s the big twist: Everybody takes a drubbing! Everyone gets made fun of! It’s hilarious; it’s provocative; it’s satirical! It is not.Let me be blunt: If The Hunt is what passes for satire in 2020, as I think it may, then we’re all — pardon my French — completely screwed. It’s a movie that fundamentally misunderstands what satire can do, the function it fills, and the way it works; it’s the cinematic equivalent of the guy on Twitter that makes an unnecessarily rancid joke, and then when people get upset at him, angrily tweets about how nobody understands satire

The Hunt is a fantastic little B movie, very much in the same vein as "battle royale", if this movie succeeds in anything its creating a really bad ass and believable female lead. Seems ironic this movie should be panned when it suceeds where most other movies fail in that regard. Very nice fight core-ography, gore galore and an endeering bit acting by the main character.

The Hunt is, however, a political satire done well. This movie makes fun of a lot of issues all across the political spectrum that are sure to delight and offend all who watch it. The cast is really charming, particularly Betty Gilpin. The story is engaging, even though I think it has a bit too many moving parts. The highlight of this movie is the action sequences. The finale in particular is really well executed. This is a movie I think everyone should check out, just for the themes and violence.

The cast was solid while Gilpin stars as the lead. The non-stop action is bound to keep some entertained but I can't help it is a bit much at times as it never lets the story or characters develop. The humour is hit and miss, mostly miss, and nowhere near as good as other comedic horror films that have come out lately. The Hunt really only got hyped up because of the slight controversy it caused. Other than that, It's just an incredibly bland movie that may entertain a view but won't leave much of an impression with most. The cast makes it a lot better than what it should have been.

The film is amazing from the beginning. The story starts with a single little incident and goes too far. It is also nice to see a great cast from children to adults. The movie does not put you in to the prospective of the protagonist and his feelings but instead it puts you into the lives of several other characters their perspective on the incident as well. Most interesting conclusion I came is that at the end of the film, it is hard to blame anyone because the way people look at things is different from one to another.

One of the best movies i have seen in ages. Highlights the worst of both the left and right of America's political spectrum. The hunt is hilarious. I freaking loved the gem of a dark honor comedy. Everything is heavily telegraphed. The movie was phenomenal

The Hunt is a satirical action / horror starring Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Betty Gilpin from Netflix's Glow. When you think of Hilary Swank, you think of great performances like Boys Don't Cry and Million Dollar Baby. You can add this movie in her great career, because she is fierce, scary and probably give on of the funniest performances of here career in this movie. Betty Gilpin stole the show as Crystal, one of the 12 'deplorables' who definitely wasn't tolerating this madness when these hunters try to hunt her and the others because of their political beliefs. Gilpin performance was the funniest throughout the entire movie with her humming, quirks, laughs and facial expressions. The fight scene between Swank and Gilpin is intense reminiscent to Tarantino's Kill Bill and John Carpenter's They Live: Gritty and hilarious! This movie is considered to be controversial because you have left hunting the right. The theme of the Hunt from what I observed is that both political sides in this country think they are superior by saying which one is the best, but in reality, both sides of spectrum are neither better. I also felt like that Gilpin character Crystal represent the middle between both sides because, she want to live and enjoy her life despite the fact she have to kill these hunters. I really enjoyed this movie with the action, humor and political satire. This movie is like watching Hard Target mix with The Hunger Games.

If you're willing to throw your stupidly extreme political basis away you can enjoy this film for its innovative way of introducing the main character, terrific action sequences and spot on comedic timing. Betty Gilpin elevates the movie with her performance and Carries it as a voice for the centrists or people who don't subscribe to the extremes of the American political spectrum showing the constant battle for what it is; just idiotic point of views taking themselves way too seriously while she just navigates the storm carelessly, all in the satirical context of the film.

This was a fantastic movie along with Gilpin's facial expressions and speeches. Great acting by all and action from Point A all the way to the ending. This was excellent and well worth the time. Blumhouse does it again!! Great job. Would see this one again.

Man this is awesome movie. I love the acting by Betty Gilpin in this, never heard about her before but dam she killed it, she needs more roles Hollywood! Look at that talent, it just comes naturally to her I believe. Also so pretty to look at she acts like leo to me, grabs your attention in every scene she is in with such calmness yet dangerous funny. Writers did great job too, so different script.

I thought this movie was a decent thriller/action flick, as long as you don't take it too seriously. There could've been better, more bloodier fight scenes. But I loved how it mocked both sides of the political spectrum and actually thought it was quite a breath of fresh of air compared to some of the movies being put out there in today's culture. Again, Betty Gilpin killed it as our heroine and made it very easy to root for her character. Her character is very tough and serious but also manages to still make you laugh, which is perfect for a movie such as this.

There's no pretense of sophistication here, this is just a roller coaster ride of action, gore and a large dose of worry humour. Unlike most dark humour movies, the humour is woven into the dialogue and plot and doesn't spoil the fun. There's a lot of Kill Bill here, but I don't think Tarantino will complain, it's more a poke-in-the-ribs than plagiarism. Great fun, a must watch. Looking forward to the follow up revealing more of the mysterious heroine.

Betty Gilpin is now my favorite actress of all time! Amazingly good movie. Very well cast & directed, honestly one of the best, well thought out & written action movies I've ever scene, really a great movie pack. If your an actual lefty liberal PC progressive you will probably hate this movie but you have to believe that this film has everything and didn’t leave us wanting, like many other films this year have. Suspense, action, emotion, a few laughs, and plot twists!

Went into the movie thinking it was going to be a good suspenseful movie. Man, was I seriously disappointed. I can’t find the words to describe how horrible this movie was. It was incredibly drawn out, there was no suspense, the characters were ridiculously stupid, and it was a huge waste of time. By the end of the movie I couldn’t tell if they had tried making a comedy or an action movie but either way they failed miserably.

The hunt gives an interesting take on today's P.C. and cancel culture. I really liked the kick-ass lead character, and was audibly surprised by several of the action scenes. The only disappointment for me was the climactic fight scene. I expected something closer to Kill Bill's style. You'll see what I mean. It's definitely a fun movie to watch, and it really makes you think about virtue signaling and social justice warriors. I recommend it.

Hugely enjoyable satire on elitist Liberals and Clinton-labeled “deplorables”, the film takes no enemies as it twists and turns to its kickass climax. Plenty of red mayhem leavened with black humor and at least one amusing reference to Orwell. Betty Gilpin is terrific with a host of superbly timed reactions, intriguing facial expressions and nuanced line delivery. She’s as powerful as any A list actor in any A list Oscar contender.

The first half an hour or so is nuts with blood and guts flying all over the screen, and from there the film doesn't really let up! Betty Gilpin is great as the lead, unfortunately some other well known actors never really get the chance to shine but she makes up for it. The film is however not exactly sutable and will no doubt upset some viewers with its themes of elitists and such. But if you just want to switch off for 90 mins for this black comedy horror then you will no doubt enjoy yourself.

This movie is this year's version of Parasite. NY liberal Betty Gilpin turns in one of the best badass star making performances I have ever seen as a Mississippi "deplorable." Would love to see this character in another film. The META is what happened with the film is exactly what the film is commenting on. Clueless conservatives attacked the film. But the film is making fun of the elites they are the bad guys and of course they also made this film. The film is a litmus test for our present day society. Conservatives are clueless. Elites are evil. The movie is FUNNY as Hell as well.

This is the first movie I've seen in, honestly YEARS, that wasn't boring for a second. It constantly keeps you on edge, subverting expectations frequently, in ways that haven't been done before. It was unique, clever, and very entertaining. It brought to light some of the ridiculousness of the political climate, making fun of people on both sides. There is clearly something brewing in the air. Between this, and Joker, a revolutionary time is on the brink. Elites want to keep this movie quiet, because there's so much truth to it. Open your eyes, look at how we're being taken advantage of. Let this movie in. Despite the painful truth of it, it's really, really fun.

The film itself is an absolute intense wild ride full of action, brutality, and some undeniable Sociopolitical commentary that does a great job at showing just how radically extreme things can get with people's morals and beliefs on both sides of the spectrum . The violence is purely gratuitous and no holds barred. The planning is never what you expected to be an actually very well written. The conclusion is very smart and will have many people shocked and maybe even triggered but I think that's the whole point of a film like this. The cast is very well put together with some familiar faces They all do a decent job though many don't last as you will see. Overall as I said this is a very vicious film that will be sure to divide sides but in a climate like this it works on many levels.

The witt with this movie comes from the fact that the smart ones play stupid and the stupid ones play smart. Imagine The Hunger Games with a bit of Hide and Seek. And that's what this movie is. The liberals play the bad guys, and the conservatives play the good guys. Which was anything BUT how the right wing media outlets portrayed it as. The acting from the protagonist Betty Gilpin is one of the best things about this movie! She took her role and absolutely ran with it. Where the film does fall flat is from it's extremely predictable plotline. Which copies from various thriller films made in the past. Overall I liked this movie! It was dark comedy with a strong politically charged twist.

This flim is a mixed bag. The script and its star are the real highlights here. I won't mention the latter anymore bc part of the fun is not knowing who the protagonist is. The only major problem of the film is the directing. It almost feels like two different movies. The first half is clumsy and rarely hits any of the marks it is going for. Thankfully, the script and some of the actors can get us through this part. Then halfway through something magical happens. We get a scene that is just three actors sitting in chairs talking. And all of sudden the film seems to know what it is. A coherent tone and visual style shine through to the end. And to top it off we are treated to one of the best female on female fights since Kill Bill.

If anyone is interested. I actually saw this movie and can provide a little insight. So, like most of you when I saw this trailer. I thought it was a run of the mill let's hunt people Saw type and make a movie out of it. However, this modern day Citizen Kane is so much more. Not only do we have the needles violence of every great movie, we have social commentary on today's political climent. A bunch of "liberal elites" kidnap and hunt a bunch of "deplorables". Spoiler alert: but it was because the "deplorables" said the "liberal elites" were kidnapping and hunting them. I dont know much about this movie. Except I was high walking by an empty movie theater when I remembered that funny guy with the tattoo from the mindy project was in this movie. Albeit for 10 seconds. This movie gets a 0/10. Although I give it a 10/10 for bringing liberals and conservatives together in agreeing how dumb of a premise, script, and waste of whoever that badass chick is that kills everyone. Amen.

My Spy is a ridiculously clueless film - it essentially has no idea what it wants to be. One thing it is for sure is that it's incredibly boring, cringe and unfunny, with forced charm and emotion. The film's story completely deviates from a coming-of-age story to an action film. The dialogue and performances were god awful and nothing about the underdeveloped characters made you engaged.

"The Hunt" is above all funny. If you have the sense of humor for it. It is also grisly; filled with flying body parts and graphic violence worthy of the horror movies Blumhouse is rapidly becoming famous for. But all of that is in service to political satire from which no point on the spectrum escapes unsoiled. Best of all is the direction. Delightful twist follows carefully delivered surprise again and again. And just when I though I had the algorithm figured out, Director Craig Zobel gently pulls the rug, and I laugh at myself for thinking I could anticipate any of it.

This was pure mindless entertainment, and writers Nick Cuse and Damon Lindelof nailed it. I wanted more. Directing by Craig Zobel was excellent. Casting was perfect, and both Gilpin and Swank delivered. Despite the awesome violence and gore, in the end, it's just a feel-good movie, comedic in nature, as one bad guy after another gets what everyone in the audience thinks they deserved.
